06 - Dura 

is a project that was born out of my fascination with "Pietra Dura". This Renaissance technique is a kind of marquetry of semi-precious stones. Hervé Obligi is the French master of this know-how, he is a recognized Master of Art and has been working with stone for more than 30 years for prestigious clients (Château de Versailles, Palais of Monaco, Louvre, Cartier, Piaget...etc).

I had the chance to meet him, to visit his workshop, to observe his techniques and we started a project. The idea is to break the codes of traditional marquetry by placing the pieces on a glass plate and using the transparency of stones. WORK IN PROGRESS.
